15th October 2021 : Jo Birch's shop

One of the Facebook groups I follow is Dolls House Grand designs. Jo Birch put some photos up yesterday of Rose's Boutique. Her main focus is the interior and the items on sale but obviously it was the smart exterior that caught my eye. Something maybe to add to my article on shopfronts.

14th October 2021 : Table Saw

My good intentions of a daily posting have failed within a week and I have missed a couple of days. In my own defence, we are getting ready to move home and the living room is already full of packing boxes. One of the things I'm planning to buy for work at the new house is a new Table saw (a big chunky DeWalt one). While researching heavy duty ones I stumbled on lots of positive reviews for the NovelLife R5 Mini Hobby Table Saw. My (discontinued) Minicraft is getting a bit long in the tooth and this looks like a possible replacement. Please do e-mail Miniature Buildings if you have any experience of this model or other suggestions.

11th October 2021 : US Farms

Most of my material is UK or Netherlands based. Just for a change here is something from the US that I need to work into an article on farm buildings.

10th October 2021 : Simon Williams

I found Simon online yesterday. I'm hoping to do a bigger piece on his work in the near future but for now here is a little taster of his high quality modelling.

9th October 2021 : Bonham Barns at Miniatura

The 2021 Miniatura show has just finished. A shame I had to miss it.  The official show report included the first of these pictures:

The lovely barns are by Ken Bonham - so are the people Ken and Maggie Bonham?  Read more about his barn models on the Miniatura site and abot his wider barn enthusiasm at greatbarns.org.uk.

8th October 2021 : Hot off the press. A brand new KLM Delft Blue house:

Number 102. The Tuschinski cinema from Amsterdam.

As always, please e-mail Miniature Buildings if you have something to add. Comments, criticisms, extra thoughts, pictures, or even complete articles for inclusion in the Miniature Buildings site are all welcome. Or if you would like to be added to my mailing list to hear when a new article is published.
